New Era Pinstripe Bowl

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl is the newest and 35th bowl game on the NCAA Bowl Calendar and will pit the Big East No. 4 team Vs the Big XII No. 7 or in the event no team qualifies from the Big XII, Notre Dame University has agreed to step in and play.  The initial game will be played on December 30, 2010 and is the first in New York City since the 1962 Gotham Bowl matched Miami against Nebraska at the original Yankee Stadium.

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl was formed by the New York Yankees and the New Era Cap Company and while many wanted to name the game The Gotham Bowl, others suggested calling it “The Jeter Bowl” as it was called by the New York Press.

Be sure to get your tickets early for the 77th Sugar Bowl taking place on January 4, 2011 at the Superdome.
